Artificial Limb Project in Yemen Aids Hundreds of Amputees

Supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Project for Operating Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, provided medical services to 434 beneficiaries who lost their limbs during December 2024.

The project delivered 1,613 services, with 59% of the beneficiaries being male and 41% female. Displaced individuals accounted for 12% of the total beneficiaries, while 88% were residents. Services included the delivery, measurement, and maintenance of prosthetic limbs, as well as physical therapy and specialized consultations.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts, represented by KSrelief, to strengthen the healthcare sector and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
