The Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate provided various medical services in October to 536 Yemeni beneficiaries who have lost limbs, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
During the project, 1,757 services were provided. The percentage of male beneficiaries reached 70%, and the percentage of females 30%. The percentage of displaced persons constituted 17% and residents 83% of the total beneficiaries.
The services included measuring, manufacturing, fitting, delivering, and maintaining artificial limbs and prosthetics, in addition to rehabilitation and physiotherapy services.
The services came in continuation of the humanitarian and relief projects of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to raise the capabilities of the health sector and try to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
