Teenager Davi Living with Charcot Marie Tooth and Foot Drop

Hi, I’m Davi, and I’m 16 years old. I have Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) Disease, type 2A. CMT impacts how I walk and affects my ability to keep up with my friends and participate in lots of sports.

I am in near constant pain, it feels like I am walking on flaming needles. My foot drop makes it difficult to walk and maintain my balance without the support of my AFOs (leg braces).

CMT has never stopped me from swimming and chasing my dreams. I am a competitive swimmer and hope to compete in the paralympics one day!
