Indian Army in coordination with Jaipur based NGO, Bhagvan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), organised an Artificial Limb Fitment and Assistance Camp for differently abled persons at Anantnag and Shopian on 4-6th Aug 2024.

The community-focused event was dedicated to provide differently abled locals, an opportunity to regain mobility and independence.

The event aimed to make a positive difference in the lives of those who have faced a limb loss.

The team of Prosthetic and Orthotic doctors, alongwith technicians, worked tirelessly throughout the camp, fitting artificial appendages for differently abled and thus giving them a new lease of life.

The Artificial Limb Fitment Camp proved to be a beacon of hope for the differently abled population of South Kashmir. Additionally, it served as a platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with limb loss and the importance of accessible healthcare services.

The efforts made by the Jaipur based NGO (BMVSS) to reach out to the people of South Kashmir were universally praised. Locals also appreciated the Indian Army’s support for such benevolent and humane initiative.
