Injured Palestinians arriving at the Rafah land crossing are receiving medical aid, with Egyptian officials overseeing efforts to provide immediate and long-term care. The Prime Minister, and the Minister of Health and Population, reviewed the conditions of the wounded, alongside representatives from the League of Arab States, the European Union, and Egyptian ministries.
From the moment patients enter Egypt, they are assessed, classified, and transferred to specialised hospitals according to their medical needs. Mobile clinics equipped with X-ray and ultrasound devices facilitate immediate diagnosis, while a psychological support team is present.
Medical supplies have been allocated for heart and bone disease cases, and cancer patients are receiving full treatment. Amputees are being fitted with prosthetic limbs as part of their rehabilitation. Preventive health measures at the crossing include mandatory vaccinations for children from one day to 12 years old, covering polio, measles, and German measles, with electronic documentation ensuring proper records.
