Embla Medical reported Q3 2026 sales of USD 250 million, up 4% organically. Growth came mainly from its Prosthetics and Neuro Orthotics segment (7% organic) and from EMEA, where sales reached USD 125 million with 8% organic growth, helped by newer markets, bionics demand and the Streifeneder contribution. The Americas were flat and APAC declined 2%, despite growth in Australia and New Zealand.
Bracing and Supports grew 2%, and Patient Care was flat, held back by clinic integration and a lost regional tender in Sweden. The company narrowed full-year guidance to around 5% organic growth and plans to expand its Neuro Orthotics offer into more markets.
Deliberate perspective
Even for one of the sector’s largest groups, growth is uneven by region, product category and channel. For manufacturers planning 2027, three lessons stand out:
- Prioritise markets on evidence: headline company growth says little about demand in a specific country; reimbursement, purchasing conditions and channel access decide where products sell
- Tenders cut both ways: a single regional tender can move a national result, so tender strategy needs to be planned, not reactive
- Newer markets are where growth is: as mature markets slow, emerging markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia become central to growth plans, and getting registration and distribution in place early is a competitive advantage
