CPO of the Week:  Sadia Khan from Al Ain, United Arab Emirates

I'm a CPO originally from Pakistan, where I graduated from Dow University of Health Science Pakistan Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Currently residing in Al Ain in UAE. I am currently working at Ergonomic Care People Of Determination.

What is your greatest patient story in O&P? 

i delivered a Bilateral Transtibial Prosthesis to a 65 years old and I made him stand after 2 years and walks for 5 minutes well

What do you claim is your speciality - your O&P passion?

I can do a proper assessment of people needing any orthotic or prosthetic products.

What do you like most about practising O&P?

Can fabricate quality prosthetics i.e. upper and lower extremities ranging from conventional to advanced technologies and orthotics like KAFOs, TLSO, AFO, Orthoprosthesis, Cranial helmets and foot orthotics

What frustrates you about O&P?
The most frustrating point In O&P is messing up the workshop i work in a clean workstation with proper equipment 
 
How do you build rapport with patients in your care?
I am actively assessing and prescribing prosthetic and orthotics patients and devices. Having experience with insurance codings and procedures and discussing all aspects.
