Empowering Lives: Rotary Club's AtmaNirbhar Project Restores Hope

Anuradha, a 20-year-old woman who tragically lost her legs in an accident, has found renewed hope and ambition thanks to prosthetic limbs provided by the Rotary Club Imperial's 'AtmaNirbhar' project. This initiative, aimed at assisting underprivileged physically challenged individuals, has already donated 300 prosthetic limbs within six months of its launch.

During the project's inauguration, Anuradha expressed her determination to become an IAS officer, highlighting how the ability to stand and walk again has restored her confidence. Another beneficiary, Aakash, faced similar challenges after losing a leg but now believes he can secure employment and support his family using his prosthetic limb.

The event was marked by insights from Rajesh Aggarwal, president of the club, who stressed the psychological impact of limb loss. He emphasized that the project goes beyond providing prosthetics, aiming to restore self-sufficiency and hope. District Governor Prashant Raj Sharma underlined the initiative's broader objective of creating pathways to independence, far beyond the distribution of prosthetic limbs.
